The Tide Is Turning

An organization called "Sustainable Surf" in California has developed a program to recycle that terrible stuff known as styrofoam.

It's technical name is EPS -- Expanded Polystyrene. Still widely in use, and as we know, it does not break down.

Now there's a way to recycle it into - surfboards!

The best part is that Sustainable Surf started a collection program that is successful beyond all expectations. They put collection boxes in the surf shops and were overwhelmed with the customer response.

What else can be made with this stuff? Clearly we don't want it to end up in a landfill, and we're happy to recycle it. The tide is turning!
