Turning Garbage Into Money

Plastic waste is an enormous problem in Ghana. In this video we see how a Dutch-Ghanaian company are turning garbage into new products, and making profits.

A construction company in Ghana, and a waste company in The Netherlands combined forces to create this plastic recycling facility.

The collecting, sorting, assembling and transportation of all the plastic waste employs about 500 people before the recycling even begins!

"The environment is cleaner. All those plastics would have been in the soil of Ghana." says one employee.

Don't miss the armchair made out of plastic bottles! A true original!
