Next Project: Wind Energy

Kelvin Doe is a teenager from Sierra Leone that grew up with only intermittent electricity, a few days a month.

Out of scraps in the garbage, he built his own battery, generator and DJ sound system!

He built an FM radio transmitter so people in the community could debate issues.

His story got out, and he was invited to study at MIT for a 3 weeks as a guest resident.

His next project is a windmill to bring electricity to Sierra Leone.

Kelvin is clearly a prodigy, but his mentor, David Sengeh is on a mission to promote innovation in Sierra Leone, sparking a movement of thousands of young people making stuff and solving problems.
