More than 400,000 people turned out for the People's Climate March in New York City on Sunday September 21, 2014.
It encompassed a groundswell of protests in conjunction with solidarity events in 166 other countries.
The march was held just days before many of the world's leaders are expected to debate environmental action at the United Nations Climate Summit.
Here are some images and sounds from that amazing day, where yours truly was participating as well.
What were the people's placards expressing? Way more than climate change. We heard voices raised about everything from fracking to factory farming to the banking system.
A march may not change the world but it sure was great to see 400,000 people all together, all aware of the changes we want to be part of making NOW.
