150 lbs Per Person Per Year?

Sugar is a toxin as well as a drug, and every bit as addictive as any opiate. When rats were fed sugar for a few weeks and then had it removed, they manifested all the symptoms of opiate withdrawal, from the shakes, to chattering teeth, high pitched crying, anxiety and changes in brain chemistry.

Millions of Americans are addicted to sugar and are slowly committing suicide with it, consuming on average 150 lbs of sugar per person per year, despite data showing sugar related illnesses--heart attacks, diabetes, obesity and more -- cause more deaths than the top 10 causes of deaths combined.

Sugar also leeches minerals out of your body and bones, leading to a vast array of illnesses such as osteoporosis. Emotionally, it causes a laundry list of negative emotions, from anger and irritability to lack of concentration and even psychosis.
