Transformation On The Inside

From www.globalonenessproject.org

'In the harsh environment of a Rhode Island mens prison, a group of fifty inmates are transforming their lives through the practice of meditation. Path of Freedom follows former inmate Fleet Maull as he visits prison to share his strategies for surviving on the inside. The film offers a rare glimpse into the inner lives of men reaching for forgiveness, inner peace and freedom behind bars.'

This is a powerful 10 minutes. You will see inmates serving sentences for murder explain that thanks to meditation, they have for the first time found a way to connect to their inner life. They have a way to peace, a way to be present in the now.

"You can live your life" says one inmate with a life sentence. "You can be yourself. You can show others that this isn't the place to breed a better criminal. This could actually be a place to breed a better person."

This film points out that 1 in 100 Americans is now in prison, a staggering number.

"We need to see and experience prisoners stepping out of that culture and doing something transformative with their lives." says Fleet Maull.
