Where There Is Smoke There Is: Inefficient Fire

3 billion people in the developing world use wood, dung, charcoal and agricultural waste cooked on very rudimentary open fires in their homes.

This is a very dangerous situation that kills some 2 million people each year from the indoor smoke.

That's twice the number of people that die from malaria each year.

Activist/inventor Peter Scott set out to build the world's most efficient charcoal stove.

Each one could save lives, save a family up to 1/4 of their income - and save the planet 106 million trees!

See it in action here.
