Rock music is power intensive and the idea of solar powered rock festivals is a great step in the right direction. A company in San Diego, Sustainable Waves, provides solar powered stages, sound, and lighting systems. This footage is from the Echo Project, a 3 day event in Georgia, where they had several stages that were exclusively powered by solar. This event also featured some bio diesel fuel generators for additional energy.

Most people are unaware that the generation of electricity is the largest source of industrial air pollution. Every year millions of tons of CO2 are emitted into the atmosphere, contributing to global warming and poor air quality. Sustainable Waves is utilizing the power of the sun to deliver 100% pollution free concerts.
